Food Programme
Education is an essential part of children’s lives but they also need a good healthy way of living to enable them to learn to their greatest potential.
Following erratic rains and poor harvests Burkina Faso is currently facing a food and nutrition crisis, often children only get one meal a day. Our Food for Thought Programme will enable children from 4 to18 years old to have an essential meal each day at school.

For thousands of years the West African people have managed to establish community leadership in their tribes and villages in extremely hostile environments. In Africa the village people give to each other as much as they can, live their core values and take every single opportunity that life offers.

Our Project
We are currently raising money to build a school in Gourcy, a town in the North of Burkina Faso. It is an extremely poor area and is in desperate need of another school. The existing school building will be drastically improved and there will be a further 8 classrooms and will teach a total of 1,100 children. For every child educated we create an opportunity for their whole family to be lifted out of poverty
